Our pistons for hundreds of vehicle types worldwide are produced out of primary aluminium which are obtained from primary suppliers.
Piston production is achieved with a high attention and particularly considering the vital role of a piston in the engine, we control all the production stages from casting to final quality pass with a computerised system.
PISTON VE PISTON PIN:
Piston is one of the most important moving components in the engine. It provides the necessary vacuuming (sucking stroke) process required for filing the fuel-air mixture into the motor rotation and compression (compression stroke) process to form the necessary pressure to combust the mixture instantly by utilizing the inert power of the crankshaft.
The main power is given to the engine by the chemical energy formed by the combustion and explosion of the compressed mixture being converted to linear motion (power stroke) by the piston. At the end of the combustion within the power stroke, the waste gases in the cylinder are swept off (being pushed) by the piston, again by the inert power of crank shaft, from the exhaust (exhaust Stroke).
The linear movement acquired within the power stroke is converted to the circular movement expected from the engine by the help of piston pin, tie rod and crank shaft.
Aluminum is preferred today as the piston material having the advantages such as providing heat conductivity, being pretty light, easy-to-cast and process. When the piston is at the working temperature, it is designed by calculation the expansion during the processing (when cold) to make it full cylinder. For this purpose, the extreme expansions should be taken under control by processing cross sections on the piston at various diameters and oval shapes according to their material density and the temperature values to be exposed.
PISTON PRODUCTION:
Piston is the most important component that we can call it as the heart of the internal-combustion engines.
Being exposed to very difficult and long processes at the designing and manufacturing stages, the pistons are put on the market.
KONEKS PISTON INC. brings the aluminum ingots that they purchase from the major primer aluminum manufactures of the world into rough draft piston by using the molding and casting methods which comply with the modern technology after melting in their foundry and do the necessary quality analyzes and modifications.
The pistons whose casting stages are completed are processed on the machines which are equipped with the computer controlled machinery using the latest technology; and while passing through 15 different operations, the processes like processing, coating, mounting.
The quality unit trails and controls the parts at every stage of the processes with the special quality control equipments and software effectively; and the pistons which pass from the final controls are put up for sale. |
